Setting Up My Campaign

This guide walks you through creating and customizing your campaign page - the shareable page where you tell your story, showcase your background, and give visitors specific ways to help your job search. For a broader overview of what My Campaign is and how all the pieces fit together, see the My Campaign Overview.

Accessing My Campaign

My Campaign is accessible from the left sidebar. Click My Campaign to open your campaign editor.

First-time users: When you first visit My Campaign, you'll see a setup screen with a Generate My Campaign button. Before generating, the page shows recommended setup steps to complete (profile photo, LinkedIn URL, and Market Fit Report). Click the button to generate your campaign. The AI creates all cards based on your resume and profile. Generation takes about a minute, and you can leave the page while it runs.

Generate Campaign Page

Recommended Setup Before Generating

Before you click Generate My Campaign, the page shows a checklist of recommended setup steps. These are not required, but completing them produces a significantly better campaign:

ItemWhy It HelpsWhere to Set It
Profile PhotoYour photo appears on the campaign banner and cover image cardMy Profile > User Information
LinkedIn URLVisitors can view your LinkedIn profile and connect with you directlyMy Profile > User Information
Market Fit ReportThe AI uses your report data to write more targeted, personalized campaign contentMarket Fit Report

Each item shows a green checkmark when complete. If your Market Fit Report is currently generating, a spinner appears with an estimated time so you know when it will be ready.

Tip: You can generate your campaign without completing these steps. The AI will work with whatever data is available, but content quality improves noticeably when all three are in place.

Returning users: Your existing campaign page loads with all your customizations and live analytics.

The Campaign Editing Page

The editing page shows your campaign cards in the same layout visitors will see, with editing controls overlaid on each card. Hover over any card and click the Edit button to open its dedicated editor.

Campaign Editing Page

Page Toolbar

At the top of your campaign page, a toolbar gives you quick access to the key controls:

Visible / Hidden Toggle

Controls whether visitors can access your page:

  • Visible (green) - Your page is live. Anyone with the link can view it
  • Hidden - Only you can see the page. Visitors see a placeholder message

Important: Make sure your campaign is set to Visible before sharing the link with your network.

Preview

Opens your campaign page in a new browser tab exactly as visitors will see it. Use this to review your page before sharing.

Share

Opens the Share Your Web Page modal with your campaign URL ready to copy.

Share Modal

Your campaign URL follows this format:

https://callings.ai/u/[your-handle]/campaign

Click Copy Link to copy the URL to your clipboard. When your page is hidden, the Copy Link button is disabled and a message reminds you to set the page to Visible first.

Analytics

Opens the detailed analytics modal with engagement metrics for your campaign:

Analytics Toolbar

The analytics modal supports daily, weekly, and monthly trend charts for each metric.

Campaign Cards

Your campaign page is built from a set of cards, each serving a specific purpose. When a new campaign is created, five default cards are generated automatically using AI based on your resume and profile.

Each card can be customized. Hover over a card and click Edit to open its dedicated editor. Every editor includes an Edit with AI chat panel on the left where you can request changes conversationally (e.g., "make the headline shorter" or "focus more on my AI experience"). The right side of the editor shows the editable fields.

Each AI-generated card also has a Regenerate button. Click it to have the AI create fresh content based on your current resume and profile. This is useful when you've updated your resume, want a different angle, or your career goals have shifted.

Tip: Regeneration replaces the current content. If you've made manual edits you want to keep, save a copy before regenerating.

Campaign Banner

The full-width banner at the top of your page sets the tone and tells visitors who you are at a glance.

Editing: Click Edit on the banner card to modify any of these fields directly.

Version Gallery and AI Editing

Once you have generated images, you can manage and refine them:

  • Version gallery - Browse all generated versions as thumbnails at the bottom (e.g., V1, V2, V3...). The currently active version shows an "IN USE" badge
  • Select a version - Click any thumbnail to preview it in full size
  • Use version - Click the Use V[n] button to set the selected version as your active campaign image
  • Sources - View what data sources were used to generate the image
  • Edit with AI - Select any version, then use the chat panel to describe what you want changed (e.g., "make the background more colorful" or "add a laptop accessory"). The AI will generate a new version based on your instructions

Tip: Generate several versions across different styles and pick the one that best represents your professional identity. You can store up to 10 versions at a time.

Voiceover

The Cover Image editor includes a Voiceover tab that lets you add a short, AI-generated spoken introduction to your Cover Image card. When enabled, visitors on your campaign page can play your voiceover directly.

Switch between the Image and Voiceover tabs at the bottom of the editor to manage each independently.

Cover Image Voiceover Editor

How to get started:

  1. Open the Cover Image Editor and select the Voiceover tab
  2. A script is automatically generated from your resume and profile (up to 100 words)
  3. Review the script, then click Generate Audio to produce the spoken clip
  4. Set the version to In Use and save to publish the voiceover on your campaign page

Editing the script:

  • Click Edit in the voiceover panel to modify the script text directly
  • Use the AI chat panel to request changes (e.g., "make it more conversational" or "focus on my leadership experience")
  • When editing manually, a Voice Tags reference panel appears with inline markers that control delivery:
TagEffect
**word**Emphasize a word
[pause] / [long pause]Insert a short or long pause
[slowly]Slow down the delivery
[dramatically] / [excited] / [warmly]Set the emotional delivery
[whispers] / [sighs] / [laughs]Add non-verbal effects

Managing voiceover versions:

  • The version gallery at the bottom shows all your voiceover versions (V1, V2, V3...)
  • The Off slot disables the voiceover entirely on your public page
  • Click + to generate a new version without overwriting existing ones (up to 10 versions)
  • The version showing IN USE is the one visitors hear on your campaign page
  • Click any version card and then Use V[n] to publish it

Tip: Keep your voiceover under 80 words for a natural, compelling delivery. A 60-80 word script reads in about 20-25 seconds, which is the sweet spot for engagement.

Campaign Story

The narrative heart of your campaign. This is where you tell visitors who you are, what you're looking for, and why you're worth helping.

Campaign Story

The Campaign Story includes several sections:

The Hook - A bold, attention-grabbing opening statement. This is the first thing visitors read after the banner.

Example: "I turn complex healthcare workflows into safe automation that actually gets adopted."

What I'm Looking For - Clearly communicates your target opportunity:

FieldDescription
Target RolesSpecific job titles you're pursuing
Company TypesThe kind of organizations that fit (e.g., "Series B healthtech scaling enterprise adoption")
IndustriesSectors where you're most effective, displayed as tags

Why Me? - A compelling prose section explaining your unique value proposition and what makes you different from other candidates with similar titles.

Key Highlights - A 2x2 grid of impressive career stats. Each highlight displays a bold number and a brief label.

Example: "10 clinical studies led with partners" / "4 ventures across health and SaaS" / "0-1 AI products built from scratch" / "1 RPM cloud plus IoT platform shipped"

Closing - A warm call-to-action encouraging visitors to take action.

Example: "If you know a hiring manager building healthcare AI workflow automation, I would love a warm intro. A quick LinkedIn share or a referral to an open VP or Head of Product role helps immediately."

Introduce / Shoutout / Encourage Card

The action hub of your campaign. This card gives visitors three clear ways to help you.

  • Page visits
  • Intros drafted
  • Encouragements

Three action buttons:

  • Introduce [Your Name] - Opens the introduction flow where visitors can generate a ready-to-send intro email
  • Give a Shoutout - Opens the social sharing flow where visitors create a post promoting you
  • Encourage [Your Name]! - A one-click show of support

Each of these visitor flows is explained in detail in the Public Campaign Page documentation.

Editing the Introduce Card

The Lend a Hand Editor configures the introduction flow that visitors use to connect you with their contacts.

Career Snapshot

A compact, scannable timeline of your professional experience. The Career Snapshot card shows your work history at a glance with company logos, job titles, and dates.

The card displays entries in reverse chronological order (most recent first), showing up to 8 positions. When your campaign is first generated, the AI extracts this information directly from your resume.

Editing the Career Snapshot

Click Edit on the Career Snapshot card to open the editor. The editor displays all experience entries in a drag-and-drop list where you can reorder, edit, or delete positions.

Fixing Company Logos

It is common to see logo issues when first reviewing your Career Snapshot. There are two types:

  • Missing logo (letter fallback) — The company logo could not be found, so the system shows the first letter of the company name in a circle instead. This typically happens for smaller companies, niche organizations, startups, or companies that no longer exist.
  • Wrong logo — A logo was found but it belongs to a different company with a similar name or domain. This can happen when the AI infers the wrong domain, or when a company has been acquired, rebranded, or shares a name with another organization.

In both cases, the fix is the same: click the logo to open the company picker and replace it.

To add or fix a company logo:

  1. Click the logo area (the image or letter circle) for the entry you want to update
  2. A company picker popover appears with three options:
OptionDescription
Search for companyType the company name to search. Select from results to auto-fill the logo
Enter domain manuallyType the company's website domain (e.g., "adobe.com") and the system will fetch its logo
Upload custom logoUpload your own image file if the company cannot be found, no longer exists, or the auto-resolved logo is incorrect
  1. Once you select or upload a logo, it immediately appears in the editor
  2. Click Save to publish your changes

Tip: For companies that have shut down, been acquired, or rebranded, uploading a custom logo is the most reliable option. For well-known companies where the wrong logo was found, try searching by name or entering the correct domain manually.

Promoting Your Campaign

Once your page is ready and set to Visible, use the built-in promotion tools to get it in front of the right people:

Tip: The most effective campaigns combine both approaches. Start with your inner circle (direct messages to supporters), then expand to your broader network (social posts).

Tips & Best Practices

Customize Before Sharing

While the AI-generated content is a strong starting point, spending 10-15 minutes personalizing your campaign makes a significant difference:

  1. Refine the headline - Make it specific and attention-grabbing
  2. Update the hook - Your opening line should make people want to read more
  3. Verify target roles - Make sure they reflect your current priorities
  4. Review "Why Me?" - Add personal touches the AI might have missed
  5. Check the highlights - Ensure the stats are accurate and impressive

Write for the Helper, Not the Hiring Manager

Your campaign page is for people who want to help you, not for recruiters. Write in a way that helps your friend or colleague understand:

  • What you're looking for (so they can spot opportunities)
  • Why you're great at it (so they can vouch for you)
  • Exactly how they can help (so they take action)

Keep Your Campaign Updated

  • Update when your priorities shift
  • Refresh after major milestones
  • Take the page offline if you've landed a role
  • Re-activate if you're searching again

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Do I need to create my campaign from scratch?
A: No. When you first visit My Campaign, a complete campaign page is generated automatically using AI based on your resume and profile. Every card comes pre-filled. You can share immediately or customize first.

Q: Do I need to complete the recommended setup checklist before generating?
A: No, all three items (Profile Photo, LinkedIn URL, Market Fit Report) are optional. You can generate your campaign at any time. However, the AI produces noticeably better content when it has access to your photo, LinkedIn profile, and Market Fit Report data. If your Market Fit Report is currently generating, a spinner will show its progress so you can wait for it to finish before generating your campaign.

Q: Can visitors see who I am without logging in?
A: Yes. Your campaign page is fully public (when set to Visible). Visitors don't need a Callings.ai account to view your page, download your resume, or encourage your search.

Q: What happens when my campaign is set to Hidden?
A: Visitors who click your campaign link see a placeholder message. No content is visible. Your analytics pause. Switch back to Visible at any time to reactivate.

Q: Can I have multiple campaign pages?
A: Currently, each user has one campaign page. You can customize it anytime to target different audiences or goals.

Q: Will my analytics reset if I regenerate content?
A: No. Analytics are tied to your campaign page, not to individual card content. Regenerating cards doesn't affect your visitor counts or engagement metrics.

Q: Do I need a subscription to create a campaign?
A: You can create and preview your campaign page without a subscription. A subscription is required to make your page publicly visible, edit cards, and use AI features like regeneration.
