About the role

This individual will work closely with Relationship Managers covering clients with specific sector needs and assist Relationship Managers in client relationship management, origination and execution across a diverse set of corporate banking product areas. This person will also take on a client set for coverage responsibility and client ownership.

The opportunity

This position is in the CIC department covering the North American Banks & Specialty Finance sectors and reporting to the Head of Banks and NBFI, North America.  Schedule and time permitting, there will be an option to cover other sectors as the employee grows into the role.

Responsibilities What you’ll be doing –

Helping to generate ideas and cross-selling opportunities for existing and prospective clients

Developing relationship and transaction marketing materials

Working on the Credit, Capital, Legal, KYC, Cross Border, and documentation aspects of transaction execution.  Regarding Capital, take full ownership of transaction ROI modelling

Liaising with partners in coverage, products, credit, risk and compliance to service day-to-day client needs and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal processes

Conducting sector research and strategy papers for new client and new sector expansion opportunities

Track client income and performance for Sr. Management requests

Participate in bespoke opportunities, including: junior talent recruitment, diversity & inclusion network, responsible & ethical business practices, etc.

Qualifications What you’ll bring -

Education and experience required:

Undergraduate degree with coursework in Finance or Economics preferred

4 -6 years of prior investment/corporate banking/credit experience. Strong internship experience will be valued

Well-versed with financial modelling and financial analysis

Solid understanding of banking products, including capital and financial markets, credit, risk management, debt and corporate finance advisory.

Series 63 and 79 required (within 120 days of being in role)

Annual Salary Range: $190,000-$230,000

Professional Certifications / Licenses Required: Series 63 and 79
