OverviewApplication

In 2026, we launched Computer, the defining product for the new era of agentic AI. We’ve scaled beyond the millions of people using Perplexity every day for research, shopping, investing and curiosity into a new paradigm of using AI to transform knowledge into action.

Product Managers at Perplexity work closely with design and engineering, focusing on the foundational AI capabilities that make our products more powerful, extensible, collaborative, and useful. The ideal candidate should have strong communication and writing skills, the ability to envision innovative technology, and a willingness to reimagine work to be more efficient and creative. Ideal candidates have a passion for turning frontier AI capabilities into coherent products: in the application, please highlight the AI systems, platforms, or workflows you are most interested in advancing.

## **The Role**

The AI Capabilities team owns the product structures that turn intelligence into repeatable, composable experiences. This includes Skills that teach Computer how to work, collaboration that helps people and agents build together, artifact generation that turns ideas into polished outputs, and Projects that organize context, knowledge, and ongoing work.

You will take these capabilities to the next level by identifying the highest-leverage user and platform problems, translating them into clear product direction, and partnering closely with design, engineering, data science, and research to deliver experiences that feel powerful, understandable, extensible, and dependable. This role requires strong product judgment, deep user empathy, analytical rigor, fluency in agentic systems, and an exceptional ability to turn technical primitives into products people can use.

## **What You'll Do**

* Anticipate opportunities for innovation and value in reusable, composable AI capabilities. * Envision and deliver a long-term vision for Skills, collaboration, artifact generation, and Projects. * Understand the levers for capability discovery, adoption, reuse, sharing, and ecosystem growth. * Work closely with engineering and design to align product expectations with model, tool, and platform capabilities. * Work with research to evaluate and steer nondeterministic models, tools, and agents into high-value outcomes for users. * Have conviction to make difficult product decisions in the face of uncertainty.

* Develop a deep understanding of how individuals and teams create, customize, collaborate, and build repeatable workflows with AI.

* Make complex AI behavior understandable and controllable through clear interaction models, thoughtful defaults, permissions, and well-designed feedback.

* Drive alignment when capabilities span Computer, Search, Projects, artifacts, connectors, or multiple teams.

* Communicate product decisions, tradeoffs, progress, and learnings clearly to leadership and cross-functional partners.

## **Qualifications**

* Strong experience with product management and leadership. * Strong experience working with data and metrics. * Experience building AI-native productivity, collaboration, platform, or developer-facing products. * Experience with agentic systems, tool use, evaluations, extensibility, or workflow orchestration. * Experience with rapid prototyping and designing systems that produce high-quality artifacts. * Experience building data-driven flywheels for iterative improvement. * Thrives in a small, agile team: has initiative and desire for ownership. * 4+ years of product management experience.

## **Our Mission**

Perplexity's mission is to power curiosity. Curious people are the people who drive change in the world. Driving change is a continuous cycle of learning, building, and integrating.

Learn: curious people constantly learn new things by asking more. They question the status quo in their own expertise and they constantly learn outside of it. Research is essential to them and never ending.

Build: curious people make and create things, to show the world their new answers to problems no one else ever questioned. They take action on what they've learned. Makers need tools to create their products, their companies, their reality.

Integrate: they must interact with the world as it is to drive change and adoption. True leaders do not simply build something and hope. They must have armies of agents and workers who can constantly work in millions of small ways.

Repeat. For curious people this is a cycle that never ends.
