What you’ll build Since 2018, we have delivered the most trusted AI systems operating in real-world use cases—providing a layer of assurance underneath hundreds of deployed models that monitors performance, manages drift, and sustains systems long after they leave the lab.

As a Junior Software Engineer, you will be a core contributor to the direction of the company. We’re looking for engineers with a product mindset who are eager to write quality software, solve meaningful problems, and grow their technical skills within an experienced engineering team. What we’re looking for

A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or completion of a software development boot camp and 0–2 years of relevant professional experience

Strong programming fundamentals and proficiency in Python, Go, or another general-purpose programming language

Knowledge of standard tooling: CI/CD tools, Git, and exposure to Docker or Kubernetes

Familiarity of database design and architecture: relational and non-relational

Familiarity with cloud architecture concepts

Strong problem-solving skills, curiosity, and an eagerness to learn

Due to the nature of this role, candidates must be a US person (a US citizen, a US national, or a Green Card holder)

The following isn’t required, but we’d love to see it:

Demonstrated software development through personal, academic, or open source projects

Experience with Go and/or Python beyond coursework or introductory projects

Familiarity with synchronous/asynchronous programming and concurrency

Comfort with integrating deep learning libraries (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow)

Experience designing or consuming RESTful, gRPC, and/or GraphQL APIs

Understanding of networked and distributed computing

Knowledge of messaging systems (e.g., NATS, Kafka, RabbitMQ)

Experience using SQL and working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL

Experience with workflow automation

Eligibility and willingness to obtain and maintain a Secret (or above) US security clearance, or an active Secret (or above) US security clearance

This position offers a hybrid/on-site work environment at our office in Austin, TX.

Compensation The anticipated base pay range for this position is $100,000–$130,000/year. Striveworks’ total compensation package includes a competitive base salary, equity grants, and cash bonuses.
