Description

Captivation Software is looking for a mid level systems engineer who will assist with daily responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Develop designs for the installation of components and assemblies into chassis, racks, cabinets, workstations, customer facilities, and/or shelters

Plan, direct, review, and coordinate the preparation of project documentation to ensure customer contract and company requirements are met

Prepare specifications, evaluate vendors, and analyze test reports

Prepare functional requirements and specification for hardware acquisitions

Analyze hardware specifications and system/subsystem requirements to conceive and document a practical design for hardware components that satisfies user's requirements

Develop hardware installation schedules based upon set-up, integration, and test timelines

Conduct site surveys, assessing and documenting current site network configuration and site-unique requirements

Requirements

Security Clearance:

Must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph, therefore all candidates must be a U.S. citizen

Minimum Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university

Ten (10) years of systems engineering experience.

Required Skills:

Advanced Linux experience; NSYS level troubleshooting experience

Automated testing experience

Scripting experience or at least the ability to walk through scripts for troubleshooting purposes

Collection system knowledge/experience

Tiered mission support experience

Experience creating Ansible scripts

Experience with containers

Desired Skills:

FORNSAT knowledge, experience within the collection environment

Ansible experience

TLS/server certificate installation/management/troubleshooting

RF installation/modem experience​

NiFi knowledge and experience in operational support and administrative tasks

Experience with Kubernetes

Annual Salary: $130,000 - $270,000 (Depends on the Years of Experience)

Up to 20% 401k contribution (No Matching Required and Vested from Day 1)
