As a Staff Engineer, you will lead full-stack development across the Edwin product line, including the design and architecture of large-scale distributed systems.
You will partner closely with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that prioritize security, scalability, performance, and operational excellence while driving business outcomes.
This is a high impact role that requires both strategic thinking and hands-on execution, reporting directly to the CTO.
ResponsibilitiesLead full-stack development, ensuring high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code
Inform, design, and architect AI-enabled distributed systems that are highly scalable, reliable, secure, and optimized for correctness, accuracy, and performance
Provide technical leadership, partnering with product, engineering, and stakeholders to align technical strategy with business goals while optimizing project scope, timelines, and deliverables
Establish and enforce best practices for system architecture, security, SOC 2 compliance, monitoring, and operational efficiency
Drive continuous delivery, observability and incident management, with a strong focus on operational excellence
Mentor and guide the engineering team, fostering a high-performing engineering culture
Required Qualifications8+ years of experience, with at least 4 years in a senior, lead, or staff engineering role
Leading engineering teams in startup environments from 0-1 and/or hyper-growth
Proven experience designing, building, and operating AI-enabled distributed systems
Expertise in TypeScript and Node
Proficiency with React and the React ecosystem
Track record of building secure, reliable, scalable, and high-performance systems with a focus on operational excellence
Bonus QualificationsPublic sector, govtech, or regulated fintech experience
Working knowledge of accounting and ERP systems, including banking, fund management, general ledger, and month-end close
Pay and BenefitsAnnual base salary range of $190,000–$225,000, dependant on experience and demonstrated scope of impact
