Software Engineer, Mid-Level to Staff+

About the RoleJoin an AI platform team building software that helps businesses delegate work to AI agents across their tools and systems. This hands-on individual contributor role spans product, backend platform, and AI infrastructure, with opportunities to focus on one area or work across several. What You'll DoBuild user-facing experiences across web and mobile that make agent workflows clear, useful, and trustworthy.

Own product features from early design and prototyping through production and iteration with customer feedback.

Develop backend APIs and services for accounts, workspaces, permissions, billing, payments, and analytics.

Build and operate connectors, authentication, webhooks, automations, and third-party integrations.

Develop agent execution infrastructure, including runtimes, context management, execution environments, and model-serving systems.

Own production systems and improve their reliability, security, correctness, and operational simplicity.

What We're Looking ForTypically 3 or more years of experience shipping production software, with experience appropriate to a mid-level through Staff+ role.

Production experience with TypeScript across a Node.js backend and React frontend, plus ownership of backend or infrastructure work.

Strong computer science fundamentals and the breadth to work across product, platform, or AI infrastructure.

Hands-on experience with GCP, Docker, deployments, and debugging at the container and Linux level.

Experience building agent systems or AI infrastructure beyond basic integrations with model APIs.

Experience with runtime or systems infrastructure such as sandboxed execution, databases, distributed systems, compilers, or operating system internals; Rust or C++ experience is useful.

Recent hands-on individual contributor experience, clear ownership of shipped work, and interest in building from early stages.

Compensation & BenefitsBase salary is $225,000 to $425,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available. LocationOn-site in San Francisco, United States.
