Those aren't slogans to us. They decide who we hire and who we keep. The Role You will lead a municipal bridge construction project in Westchester County from notice of award through closeout. It is a public works contract with a fixed completion date, prevailing wage requirements, multiple specialty subcontractors, and an owner and engineering team who will be closely involved. You will own the project end to end — schedule, budget, quality, safety, people, and the client relationship. What You Will Do Run the project day to day and serve as GLP's primary point of contact with the owner, engineer of record, and construction manager Build and hold the CPM schedule (P6 or MS Project), including long-lead procurement, permitting, utility coordination, and work-zone sequencing Manage subcontractors and trades from scope letters and buyout through daily coordination and closeout Own the project financials: cost-to-complete, monthly requisitions, retainage, change orders, cash flow, and margin reporting to ownership Drive submittals, RFIs, and shop drawings through review on a schedule that protects the critical path Ensure full compliance with NYS Labor Law Article 8: prevailing wage, certified payroll, OSHA-10/30, subcontractor registration, and the owner's reporting requirements Lead safety on a project that includes demolition, crane operations, and work over and adjacent to live traffic Direct the superintendent and field team, and be on site for critical operations, including night work Anticipate problems — field conditions, quantity overruns, weather, lead times — and bring solutions to the owner before they become disputes What You Bring 10+ years of heavy civil construction experience with at least 5 years as project manager of record on bridge, structural, or transportation projects Direct experience with public owners in New York (municipal, county, NYSDOT, or authority work) and with prevailing-wage contracts Proven command of project financials — you have owned a P&L, forecasted cost-to-complete, and defended a change order Experience managing multi-trade subcontractor teams and specialty vendors, including long-lead structural components Working knowledge of maintenance-and-protection-of-traffic plans, night work, and permitted lane and road closures Fluency in scheduling software (P6 or MS Project), Procore or equivalent, and Excel-based cost tracking OSHA 30; valid driver's license Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or equivalent field experience Preferred Prefabricated or modular bridge erection; crane and rigging planning Oversight of environmental abatement within a construction contract Structural concrete repair and protective coatings NY PE, PMP, or CCM Who Succeeds Here The technical qualifications get you the interview. We are looking for someone who tells the owner the truth when the news is bad, who pays subcontractors fairly and on time, who speaks to the flagger and the commissioner the same way, and who leaves every client wanting to work with GLP again.
