Description
Captivation Software is looking for a mid level software engineer with backend Java experience building scalable REST APIs and services in Linux/Unix environments.
Requirements
Security Clearance:
Must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph, therefore all candidates must be a U.S. citizen
Minimum Qualifications:
Fourteen (14) years experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required
Four (4) years of SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
Required Skills:
Strong Java/JVM, REST APIs, Spring/Spring Boot, Hibernate, relational database, Git, and Linux/Unix skills
Agile team experience, including code reviews, debugging, problem solving, and technical collaboration
Desired Skills:
Backend architecture, distributed systems, API design, CI/CD, automated testing, TDD, NoSQL, or frontend exposure
DevOps experience with AWS, Terraform, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, or scripting
Experience supporting fast-paced, complex client solutions and interest in long-term growth standards

Annual Salary: $130,000 - $270,000 (Depends on the Years of Experience)
