Role overview
MoonPay's Senior Program Manager in Product Operations joins the Product Operations team working cross-functionally with senior leaders, focusing on high-impact strategic projects and analysis; the work is to identify, structure, and act on the most challenging strategic and operational opportunities, and to use AI to build scalable systems and processes that multiply impact; the role supports United States Eastern hours, remote or hybrid out of the New York office, but the original posting states it will be hybrid and will require spending some portion of time in the office.
Responsibilities
Proactively surface and prioritize high-impact strategic and operational opportunities and own them end-to-end from scoping through execution
Work cross-functionally with product, engineering, and go-to-market leaders to define and implement strategy across all MoonPay products, driving increased value for users, customers, and the business
Structure complex, ambiguous strategic problems for the leadership team, defining clear hypotheses and building business cases and quantitative models that inform and influence the approach
Work closely with cross-functional leaders to define and manage key drivers of business performance, identifying areas of opportunity and incorporating them into the work
Develop a comprehensive understanding of competitive positioning by using, assessing, and developing insights about peer businesses to inform recommendations
Deeply understand MoonPay customers and the broader market landscape to uncover insights that inform recommendations
Use AI tools and drive automation to create scalable solutions that combine a broad vision for what is possible with an understanding of the practical demands that constrain them
Qualifications
Five or more years leading complex cross-functional programs across Product, Engineering, and business teams in high-growth crypto, fintech, financial services, or technology environments
Exceptional communication skills: able to explain the why, set the stage, and bring people along, including senior stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Legal, Compliance, Risk, IT and Security, Finance, Data, and go-to-market teams, without direct authority, and teams resistant to adding process
Thrives in ambiguity: strong on operational planning, dependency management, risk mitigation, and program governance in fast-moving, shifting environments
An upstream problem-solver who shapes initiatives before they become execution risk, structuring ambiguous, high-impact work from concept through delivery with measurable outcomes
Strong analytical instincts, using data, business context, and quantitative analysis to drive prioritization and operational decisions
Proven at building scalable processes, workflows, governance models, and automation systems that improve execution velocity without feeling like overhead
Fluent in AI tools and automation platforms, actively applying them to improve productivity, reporting, and execution, and continuing to push as the tooling evolves
Application conditions
Locations supported are United States Eastern hours, remote or hybrid out of the New York office; the original posting states this role will be hybrid and will require spending some portion of time in the office, so it should not be read as fully remote
Remote does not imply worldwide eligibility; residency, work authorization, and time zone requirements in the original posting apply
The original posting states the requirement list is indicative, and applicants who feel they are only a partial match are still welcome to apply
Preferred qualifications
Experience building business cases and quantitative models for senior leadership
Experience with programs in high-growth crypto or fintech environments
Compensation and benefits
The original posting states a competitive salary package and an equity package for all employees; exact terms are as stated in the original posting
Benefits listed in the original posting include flexible time off, an end-of-year company-wide recharge period, birthday leave, enhanced parental leave, a remote working allowance, a home office setup allowance, and an annual training budget; exact terms are as stated in the original posting
What this role focuses on
The key point is not executing projects defined by others: the role finds opportunities, structures problems, builds the case, and carries projects from concept to measurable delivery
AI is the default operating mode here: it is used to build scalable systems and processes that multiply impact, not as decoration
Without direct authority, communication and agenda-setting matter as much as analysis when moving senior stakeholders
Application preparation (editorial suggestions)
Prepare a cross-functional program case taken from concept to delivery, explaining hypotheses, quantitative models, dependencies, and measurable outcomes
Prepare an example of using AI tools to build a scalable process that improved execution speed without feeling like overhead
Check the hybrid requirement: confirm you can spend part of your time in the New York office, and check the United States Eastern time working arrangement
