Summary

Manage the day-to-day operations of a robot pilot program, including training new pilots, tracking performance metrics, and coordinating with fleet operations.

About this role

Our MissionExpand human ambition in the physical world.

Critical infrastructure is constrained by labor shortages, hazardous working conditions, and operational complexity. Watney builds and deploys autonomous robotic systems that increase the speed and capacity of buildout, starting with data centers.

ABOUT THE ROLE The Program Manager, Teleoperations runs the day-to-day work of the robot pilot program: getting new pilots through tryouts and training, tracking how they perform once they're on the floor, and flagging what needs to change. You'll work under the program lead and alongside Fleet Operations, reporting what the numbers say and helping carry out the fixes. This program runs today: a 2,000+ pilot floor already supports robots working live customer deployments. You'll spend your first months learning how that floor runs, then take direct ownership of a piece of it - a training cohort, a KPI, a shift. We're looking for someone with strong critical thinking and clear communication, ready to learn a live operations program from the ground up - comfortable with messy real-world data and fast-changing priorities. WHAT YOU'LL DO Run tryouts and training sessions for new pilots, and track how they perform

Pull and report on KPIs (telemetry, task times, etc.) for your piece of the floor

Follow SOPs, flag where they break down, and help update them

Coordinate with Fleet Operations on day-to-day robot allocation for training

Escalate performance findings to the program lead and to hardware/software engineering

WHAT YOU'LL BRING 1-2 years of experience in an operations, program-support, or offshore-workforce role (recruiting, training, or performance tracking)

Comfort working from SOPs and following a defined process closely

Strong data-analysis skills and comfort with messy real-world data

Clear written and verbal communication skills

Willingness to work hard in a scrappy environment

We’re committed to building a diverse, inclusive team. At Watney Robotics, we welcome people of all backgrounds and identities, and we make hiring decisions based on skills, experience, and potential. If you’re passionate about robotics but don’t meet every requirement, we still encourage you to apply!
