About the RoleJoin a backend engineering team building consumer-facing features and data-driven systems for a gaming business. You will own meaningful parts of the engineering system, deliver work with measurable business impact, and help the team move quickly as it grows. What You'll DoBuild and ship consumer-facing backend features that support core business metrics.

Develop data-driven systems for challenges such as matchmaking and fraud prevention.

Improve engineering processes and delivery tools, including CI/CD pipelines and experimentation platforms.

Take ownership of projects from planning through delivery and seek opportunities to expand your impact.

What We're Looking ForFive to eight years of backend software engineering experience, ideally in a fast-growing startup or another high-engineering-bar environment.

Proficiency in Go, or the ability and willingness to ramp up quickly; experience with Kubernetes and Google Cloud Platform is relevant.

Experience owning and shipping consumer-facing backend features end to end, with measurable business results.

Background with data-driven systems such as matchmaking, fraud prevention, recommendation engines, or similar products.

Hands-on experience improving CI/CD pipelines or experimentation platforms.

A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field, or equivalent technical fundamentals.

A proactive approach to ownership, learning, and delivering impact in a fast-moving team.

Compensation & BenefitsThe annual salary range is $200,000 to $400,000. Visa sponsorship is available. LocationThis is an on-site role in San Francisco, California, United States.
