Description

The role involves providing technical leadership for proxy architecture with a focus on Layer 7 protocols and SSL inspection. The engineer will drive architectural decisions and implement solutions to improve code quality and system performance. Responsibilities include modernizing the existing code base by addressing technical debt and rewriting components as needed. The position requires partnering with product management to design and deliver core functionality. Additionally, the role involves establishing design patterns and providing mentorship across engineering teams to support a scalable security platform.

Required Qualifications and Skills

Candidates must have at least 8 years of experience in designing and implementing networking security software and public cloud infrastructure. Proficiency in the C programming language and a deep understanding of proxies, HTTP/2, QUIC, TCP/IP, and TLS/SSL are required. A foundational understanding of AI/ML technologies and their application in functional domains is necessary. A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required for this position.
