Sr. Product Manager, Agentic Shopping

Location: San Francisco, California (Remote)

Role Overview

We are seeking a Product Manager for an AI/GenAI Product Team. This is a tactical, individual contributor role focused on the day-to-day execution of AI-driven initiatives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure technology teams have clear requirements and specifications. This role will focus on use cases for all user personas, serving both internal and external customers. This is an opportunity to be at the forefront of AI-powered digital transformation. The position is a 12-month contract with the potential for extension and requires working Pacific Standard Time (PST) hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute the AI/GenAI product roadmap and create buy-in across key stakeholders.
• Create, manage, and break down user stories for development sprints.
• Collaborate with internal business partners to refine requirements, define enhancements, and determine prioritization.

\* Develop and maintain partnerships with Developers, UX, and Design teams.

• Work closely with Project Management and IT for sprint and board management processes.

\* Align with cross-functional teams during the product development lifecycle.

• Champion the needs of business and marketing teams by developing detailed requirements and feature definitions.
• Participate in the daily review, triage, and prioritization of bugs.
• Monitor JIRA boards and reports to ensure engineers and QA have the information they need.
• Communicate updates and process changes to the broader Product Management Team.

Required Qualifications

Education: A BA/BS degree is required.

Experience: 5-7+ years of experience in product management with a history of launching digital products. A background in data analytics or data science is important.

Technical Skills:

• Experience with agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA and Confluence for backlog management and sprint planning.
• Knowledge of Large Language Models (LLMs) such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Google Gemini.
• Familiarity with Agile Product Development.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office and communication platforms like Slack or MS Teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in AI-driven retail, eCommerce, or digital platforms.
• Some knowledge of the retail or eCommerce industry.
• Understanding of front-end capabilities for AI-enhanced e-commerce, mobile apps, and websites.
• Familiarity with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and other GenAI technologies.
• Experience with LLM-powered chatbots, AI-driven personalization, or recommendation engines.
• Enthusiasm for staying updated on the latest trends in AI, GenAI, and prompt engineering.
