Description

The role involves serving as the technical lead and systems architect for a managed data transfer service. The individual will own the end-to-end design of the system, including the job API, scheduler, and storage integration. Responsibilities include evaluating a production prototype to determine necessary refactoring or replacements while ensuring service continuity for existing customers. The position requires setting strategies for data-plane performance, throughput, and system reliability. Additionally, the lead will define cross-team interfaces and mentor engineering staff to ensure high-quality technical output.

Required Qualifications and Skills

The role requires at least eight years of professional experience shipping production software, specifically in leading services from prototype to general availability. Candidates must possess deep expertise in designing and operating data-intensive distributed systems at scale. Proficiency in Go or another modern compiled language is required. Furthermore, the individual must demonstrate the ability to manage system integration, define API boundaries, and maintain operational ownership of customer-facing services.
