Staff Software Engineer, Medical Imaging

About this role

Location: San Francisco Bay Area (onsite) Pay: $190,000–$280,000 + bonus + equity A venture-backed, commercial-stage medical device company is hiring a staff engineer to own the imaging pipeline behind every clinical result it delivers. What you'll do Own the cloud imaging pipeline: ingestion, registration, segmentation, analysis

Develop new targeting algorithms and AI methods

Run and scale the pipeline on AWS with containers and infrastructure as code

Cut runtime and extend the pipeline to new clinical uses

Work within medical device design controls, and mentor engineers

What you bring 5+ years of software engineering, much of it on imaging or scientific data

Expert Python and Git

MRI data (DICOM, NIfTI) and quality control

Neuroimaging toolkits such as ITK, ANTs, FSL or FreeSurfer

Strong scientific computing and statistics, and ML taken to production

MS in CS, engineering, physics or math, or equivalent experience

Nice to have: AWS Batch and GPUs; IEC 62304; deep learning for medical imaging
