Job Description

TL;DR: We’re looking for a Product Designer to turn complex AI safety workflows into simple, intuitive interfaces used by engineering and research teams every day. You’ll own design end to end: evolve our Figma design system, improve existing screens, create new product flows, prototype interactions, and work closely with product, engineering, and research to ship quickly.

White Circle is an AI Safety company building the safety, reliability, and optimization layer for AI systems. At the core of our platform are policies – simple natural-language rules that define what an AI model should and shouldn’t do. We automatically test, enforce, and continuously improve these policies at scale.

• We’ve recently raised our Series A funding round of $70M (total funding of $81M) from top funds, founders, and senior leaders at OpenAI, Anthropic, HuggingFace, Mistral, DeepMind, Datadog, Sentry, and others
• We process over one hundred million API calls every month
• We fine-tune and train our own LLMs so they run faster and cheaper than any open or proprietary model

What you’ll do

• Evolve the Figma design system so it stays consistent, scalable, and easy to work with.
• Update current screens and design new flows for upcoming features.
• Work directly with product, engineering, and research — fast iterations and full ownership.

What we’re looking for

• 3+ years working with Figma: Auto Layout, Components, Variants, Prototyping, Design Systems.
• You’ve designed clear, functional web interfaces, ideally for technical products.
• You can create basic animations with any tools you prefer.
• You use AI tools in your own workflow.

Process

1. Intro call (25 min)
2. Design take-home assignment
3. Interview with Head of Design & Creative, Elena (45 min)
4. An additional interview with one or more team members may be added depending on the interview process
