### About the Position

We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer who represents where great engineering is heading. AI has fundamentally changed what a single strong engineer can deliver - but only when that engineer has the judgment to direct it well. We need someone who can own a workstream end-to-end: understand the business problem, design an architecture that holds up, use AI tooling to build quickly without sacrificing quality, and ship something a user actually wants to use.

This isn't a "prompt and paste" role. It's for an engineer who has already been through the learning curve of agentic development - who knows how to structure context, write and use skills, choose the right model for the job, and get on-spec, architecturally sound code out of AI tools quickly and reliably. Paired with that, we need real product instincts: an understanding of the users we serve, the KPIs that matter, the business case behind what we build, and enough UX sense to design interfaces people can actually use.

The days of hiring a "fast coder" and surrounding them with a PM, a business analyst, a UX designer, and a QA engineer just to keep pace are behind us - that model doesn't scale against AI-accelerated code output. We need engineers who can absorb ambiguity, make sound product and architectural calls, and deliver stable, well-tested solutions largely on their own.

While full-stack fluency matters, this role leans toward backend architecture, operational infrastructure, and platform integration - primarily in GoLang and Vue/TypeScript.

### You Will

* Own workstreams end-to-end, from defining business requirements through architecture, implementation, testing, and deployment * Use agentic AI development tools as a core part of your workflow, applying strong context management, custom skills, and model selection to move fast without compromising code quality or architectural soundness * Design and build scalable, secure platform services with testability designed in from the start, not bolted on after * Make and own architectural decisions, including how and where to responsibly guardrail AI-generated code * Partner directly with product, design, and business stakeholders - understanding not just what to build, but why, and how it will be measured * Apply UX principles to build interfaces that are genuinely usable, not just functional * Understand how your code ships: containerization, CI/CD, and cloud deployment, even where you're not the deepest specialist * Identify and mitigate technical risk and ambiguity before it becomes a bottleneck * Mentor other engineers and help raise the bar on how the team works with AI-assisted development

### What You Bring

**Engineering & Architecture**

* 10+ years as an individual contributor, with the judgment to know what good architecture looks like and when to deviate from it * Proficiency in Golang, including how its architectural patterns differ from other object-oriented languages * Full-stack experience - we use Vue on the frontend; equivalent depth in React or a similar framework is fine, but we do need demonstrated Go experience * Experience with SQL and NoSQL datastores (e.g., Postgres, Redis) * Practical understanding of microservices vs. monorepo tradeoffs * Experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs for diverse frontend clients * Proficiency with real-time communication protocols (WebSockets, WebRTC) * Strong grounding in TDD/BDD and knowing when each is the right tool

**AI-Assisted Development**

* Demonstrated, hands-on experience using LLM-based agentic tools to build production software — not just as an autocomplete, but as a core part of the development lifecycle * Practical skill in managing context, writing/using reusable skills or prompts, and choosing the right model for a given task * A track record of using AI tools to deliver on-spec, architecturally sound code quickly, while maintaining ownership over quality and correctness

**Product & Business**

* Genuine product development experience — understanding of users, KPIs, and how engineering decisions connect to business outcomes * Comfort working from ambiguous requirements and turning them into a clear, sound technical plan * Working knowledge of UX principles and the ability to implement usable, well-considered interfaces * Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with cross-functional and business stakeholders

**Platform & Operations**

* Solid understanding of the SDLC and how DevOps practices fit into it — deep specialization not required, but you should be comfortable with containerization (Docker), a major cloud provider (GCP or AWS equivalent), CI/CD (Git, Argo, Helm), and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) * Proficient in scripting (Bash, Python, etc.)
