Description

The Systems Engineer - Strategic SATCOM (Space Segment) role supports the engineering and integration of Department of Defense space systems, with an emphasis on satellite communications capabilities. The position requires a seasoned systems engineer who can manage technical baselines, apply model-based or digital engineering methodologies, and collaborate across multiple stakeholders to support complex space programs

Perform systems engineering and/or hardware-software integration activities for DoD space systems.

Support engineering efforts related to satellite and ground systems.

Utilize MBSE or digital engineering approaches to define, manage, and maintain technical baselines.

Participate in and contribute to cross-functional engineering teams and technical discussions.

Work independently and collaboratively to complete complex technical tasks.

2+ years of military SATCOM experience.

2+ years of space acquisition experience.

Experience with Agile software development programs.

Experience with Confluence and/or Jira.

Experience working with software factories or DevSecOps pipelines.

Top Secret clearance.

Master's degree in a related technical discipline.

Agile certifications (CSM, CSPO/CPO, PMI-ACP, ICP).

INCOSE certifications (ASEP, CSEP, ESEP).

This is a Contract position based out of El Segundo, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $120.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
