Software Engineer, Backend / Full Stack

About this role

About the RoleJoin an engineering team building financial infrastructure for nonprofit payments. You will own backend and full-stack systems from design through production, helping shape architecture and product decisions in a fast-moving environment. What You'll DoBuild and maintain backend applications and components that support payment platform functionality.

Contribute to architecture decisions across APIs, backend systems, and infrastructure, and help establish engineering standards.

Collaborate with product and engineering teammates on technical discussions, design decisions, and product development.

Improve real-time monitoring and alerting to better understand system and user behavior.

Work across the platform on projects spanning backend services and full-stack product needs.

What We're Looking ForTwo to ten years of backend engineering experience, including ownership of scalable systems from design through production.

Proficiency in Go or Node.js, plus experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production.

Experience with Terraform, AWS, PostgreSQL, REST APIs, and gRPC.

Fintech or payments infrastructure experience is valuable.

A bachelor's degree in a technical field and strong software engineering fundamentals.

Experience at a growing company, established organization, or startup.

Compensation & BenefitsBase salary is $180,000 to $230,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available. LocationOn-site in New York, New York, United States.
