About this role

The UCSF Center for Advancing Dyadic Care in Pediatric seeks a Project Manager with experience in supporting complex multi-system, multi-stakeholder projects within health care or public health settings at a pivotal time in our growth. . This position is focused on advancing CADP’s work targeting expansion of behavioral health care access for young children and families served by Medi-Cal. The range of responsibilities include (1) project management, such as tracking and supporting completion of project deliverables, reporting on progress to funders and stakeholders, (2) development and dissemination of education and workforce capacity building materials to support uptake of the initiative, (3) providing analytic support to advance quality improvement and change management processes, and (4) administrative coordination. This Project Manager will serve as an operational backbone of key CADP workstreams—driving cross-functional collaboration, keeping complex initiatives on track, and ensuring that our work translates into meaningful impact for children and families served by Medi-Cal.   This is a highly collaborative, high-impact role that blends strategic project management, stakeholder engagement, workforce capacity building, and analytic support in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. The project manager should be able to function both independently and as part of a team. It is preferred that the candidate have experience with pediatric health care, early childhood health and mental health, and public health financing. Additional experience in population health, public health and clinical implementation is also helpful for this position.    The ideal candidate thrives at the intersection of systems thinking and hands-on execution. The project manager leads work on various new systems, including project management platforms, learning management system, and a data collection and dashboard system. This role is central in facilitating efficient deliverable tracking mechanisms and to coordinating stakeholders and deliverables to ensure progress with the initiatives. They assist with developing programmatic materials to increase capacity for technical assistance consultants and other stakeholders. The role will include administrative duties and analytic support to aid progress with program reporting and evaluation.   The Project Manager is responsible for coordinating and managing the execution of designated CADP workstreams by collaborating with designated workstream leads to oversee project logistics, stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional collaboration. Activities include group meetings, coordination of partners and vendors, developing meeting materials, tracking action items, and ensuring timely follow-up with stakeholders. The Project Manager keeps projects on schedule, facilitates effective communication, and supports the successful implementation of strategic population health initiatives through strong organizational and project management practices.   Project Manager activities associated with the educational mission of the UCSF CADP include: Meeting and project management of programs and curricula Assessing and reporting on learner participation Project planning Vendor management Platform management, such as learning management system, data and dashboard platform, and project management platform Resource and knowledge management Workstream coordination Administrative support

Workstream general efforts include:  Leading training efforts for stakeholders  Analyzing utilization data and preparing reports    Developing implementation plans with stakeholders  Building relationships with stakeholders Developing strategic plans  Developing training curriculum and improvement materials  Serving as consultants on improvement efforts  Standardizing interventions and developing work tools  Managing and tracking deliverables  Developing dashboards and performance metrics  Researching best practices  Tracking clinical and quality improvement data

The Project Manager will be recruited to support a designated workstream within the UCSF CADP, which may include: Population Health, Quality, & Sustainability Workstream: Focused on strategy and operations aligned with population health priorities, quality improvement, and Medicaid financing that is designed to scale the Medi-Cal dyadic benefit. This workstream has key priorities in Population health strategy, Systems transformation strategy, Financial sustainability strategy, Managed care strategy, Implementation science, Quality improvement framework development, Dissemination strategy, Scaling and spread strategy, Policy translation and advocacy

Clinical Transformation &  Technical Assistance Workstream: Focused in on-the-ground clinical transformation, leading training initiatives, improvement materials, educational resources, and supporting training material delivery and implementation efforts. Key workstream activities include technical assistance model development, Clinical curriculum development, Learning communities, Practice transformation methodology, Clinical consultation model, and Implementation support approaches

QualificationsRequired Qualification Bachelor's degree in related area and minimum one year of experience or equivalent experience / training. Working knowledge of common organization- or research-specific and other computer application programs. Proficient in communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Proficient in ability to use discretion and maintain all confidentiality. Demonstrates ability to use sound judgment in responding to issues and concerns. Demonstrates ability to analyze, research and synthesize large amounts of data with strong attention to detail. Proficient in ability to multi-task with demanding timeframes. Working knowledge of applicable policy analysis techniques. Demonstrates ability to facilitate projects from initiation through closeout, ensuring alignment across workstreams and team members Fosters a collaborative working environment that motivates and keeps members on track toward meeting project milestones Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and stakeholders
