Job Description We’re hiring a General Manager for Foxchase Apartment Homes in Alexandria, VA. As General Manager, you’ll lead the day-to-day operations of the community, with responsibility for your team, resident experience, leasing performance, and financial results. This role is ideal for an experienced property management leader who understands both the people and business sides of running a successful apartment community. Your pay rate will be based on your skills and experience as they relate to the requirements of the role. What You Will Do Lead, coach, and develop the on-site leasing and maintenance teams Oversee daily property operations and ensure a high standard of service for residents Manage the property budget and drive revenue and financial performance Monitor leasing activity, sales performance, occupancy, and other key business results Partner with your team to improve resident satisfaction and the overall community experience Ensure community operations follow company policies and applicable legal requirements Set clear expectations, hold the team accountable, and create an environment where team members can succeed
Qualifications Who You Are A confident, hands-on leader who knows how to develop and motivate a team Business-minded and comfortable taking ownership of operational and financial results Customer-focused with high standards for the resident experience Able to balance sales, operations, team development, and day-to-day priorities Comfortable making decisions and solving problems in a fast-paced environment Organized, accountable, and focused on delivering results
What You Have 4+ years of experience in sales, customer service, and business or asset management, ideally within property management or a related industry 2+ years of leadership experience in property management 2-4 years of experience leading teams in a sales and customer service environment Proven ability to coach, mentor, and develop team members Experience using sales processes, performance metrics, and business results to drive performance Working knowledge of property financials, budgets, and revenue management Experience with property management systems and tools such as Entrata, OneSite, SmartRent, or Salesforce Availability to work a typical Tuesday-Saturday, 10:00 a.m.- 6:30 p.m. schedule, with hours varying based on community and seasonal needs Reliable transportation
