Description REQUIRED:  Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph LOCATION:  Full-time onsite in Chantilly, VA

We are looking for a versatile, high level Software Engineer who thrives across modern development environments — from Python API engineering to Android app development and secure web technologies. In this role, you will build and integrate Python‑based API interactions, manage package environments with Anaconda and Micro Mamba, and support Linux systems through Bash scripting, Cron automation, and IT workflow optimization.

Key ResponsibilitiesIn this challenging yet rewarding role, you are an integral part of what brings our Company's mission to life. You must have the following required skills, certifications and demonstrated experience in and/or with:

Python development to include developing Python API interactions.

Utilizing Anaconda / Micro Mamba for package installation.

Supporting Linux including Bash scripting, Cron jobs, and IT automation.

Developing API Interactions to include working with various API protocols, including sockets, GraphQL, and RESTful APIs.

Using Java.

Android app development with tools such as Kotlin, Dart, and Flutter.

Web technologies, including: Cookies and web transactions, Communication between hosts, Developer tools (i.e. Network tab), Mobile compatibility mode.

Knowledge of SSL and certificates and their role in secure communication between applications.

Highly Desired QualificationsOther skills and demonstrated experiences that are highly desired but not mandatory to perform the work, include:

Designing, developing, and maintaining SQL-based databases, including PostgreSQL and MySQL.

Developing PL/SQL database scripts, including procedures, functions, exception handlers, and triggers.

Writing and tuning complex queries against structured and unstructured data sets.

Maintaining Jenkins Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines with automated testing and deployment.

Working with big data processing and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, ElasticSearch, MapReduce, and HBase.

Maintaining, upgrading, troubleshooting, and managing software, hardware and networks (specifically the hardware networks piece).

Working with Apache NiFi.

Working with the Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes.
