Over the past 3 years, Sunset has become one of the prominent providers of wind-downs in the startup community, with over 65% of our deals being referred inbound from VC, lawyers, and founders. This business generates millions every year and has endless opportunities for growth and efficiencies.

The Role As the General Manager of Sunset, you’ll own the full P&L. You’ll be running the product, operations, and client success of the Sunset business as a whole — ensuring we can continue to scale while delivering a world-class customer experience. This role is an extremely rare opportunity to become the de-facto CEO of an already operating, venture-backed startup. You’ll have full autonomy to make the improvements you see fit in order to grow, drive margins, and continue to win in this market.

What You'll Do Own the P&L of Sunset

Define overall strategy and objectives in order to 10X this product line

Manage current team of 10+

Improve product, automations, and agentic capabilities in order to reduce manual processes and effort

How You'll Be Measured MoM growth in revenue, customer count, and margins

CSAT, NPS, SLAs, and Trustpilot scoring

Conversion rates (MQL -> SQL -> Won)

Automation (ticket volume, deflection)

Required aptitude Team: you’re excited about building in-person, 5 days a week, from our office in Dumbo

World-class: you can demonstrate striving for world-class levels somewhere in your life

Owner: you’ve been a founder or GM of an entire product-line

AI-pilled: you build real things yourself with AI (workflows, automations, reporting), rather than briefing someone else

Experimenter: you’re always testing a new hypothesis vs. being set in your ways and biases

Data-literate: can read your own results well enough to know what's actually working

Bonus Experience marketing/selling to startups

Familiarity with M&A, distressed assets, legal frameworks
