Whether you need to follow up on an application, thank an interviewer, request a recommendation from a mentor, reply to a recruiter's message, or craft a LinkedIn connection request, Custom Outreach generates contextually appropriate content tailored to your specific situation, relationship, and communication channel.
## Where to Find Custom Outreach
Custom Outreach is accessed from the **Network** tab within any job's detail view:
1. Open a job from your Job Tracker
2. Click the **Network** tab
3. In the **Networking Targets for this role** toolbar, click **Custom Outreach**

**Default context:** When you open Custom Outreach from a job, the **Context** field is automatically populated with that job's title and company. This helps the AI craft messages relevant to your specific opportunity. You can modify this context if needed.
> **Note:** For contacting specific networking targets with pre-generated messages, use the **Reach Out** button on individual contact cards instead. Custom Outreach is designed for broader outreach scenarios—contacting people not in your suggested contacts list, sending follow-ups, thank-you notes, or any other professional communication.

## Walkthrough: Application Follow-Up Thank You
Let's walk through a complete example to see how the tool works. In this scenario, you recently met with **Angie Hennessy**, the Sr. Manager of Product Design at **The Walt Disney Company**, to discuss the **Lead Product Designer (Streaming)** role. You want to send a thoughtful thank-you email.
### Step 1: Set the Context
The wizard opens to the **Context** step. Start by identifying who you're messaging and why:
